HID ProxPoint Plus 6005/6008 Proximity Readers

This low cost HID ProxPoint proximity reader features a multicolor LED panel and versatile beeper which may be controlled locally or through a host device. Configure the ProxPoint based on your needs and preferences. The ProxPoint is compatible with most proximity cards up to 85 bits, with over 137 billion unique codes and is compatible with all standard access control systems.

This proximity reader maintains read range performance even after mounting. Compact and durable, the ProxPoint 125kHz proximity reader is built to withstand both indoor and outdoor use. The ProxPoint may be mounted directly onto metal with no loss of performance.

Various beeper and LED configurations are available in the ProxPoint, depending on your individual site requirements.

The ProxPoint reader features a SIA-26 bit Wiegand interface for connectivity and can be programmed with a variety of configuration options. The Wiegand output model interfaces with any existing Wiegand protocol access control systems and is available with either Wiegand or clock-and-data (magnetic stripe data) output.

When the ProxPoint is powered up, it performs a series of internal self-test routine checks, verifies the setup configuration, determines internal or external control of LED and beeper, and initializes the reader operation. An external loop-back test allows output and input to be verified without requiring any additional test equipment.

The ProxPoint is charcoal gray and built to be durable for indoor and outdoor use. It operates in temperatures of -22F to 149F and humidity levels of 0 95%. The unit has a depth of 0.7 in, height of 3.2 in., width of 1.7 in., and weighs just 2.6 ounces. There is a lifetime warranty on parts, labor, service and support.
