The small, compact and mobile OMNIKEY 6121 USB reader allows users to securely access their personal data and logical applications on their PC by connecting their reader to their computer's USB port. The OMNIKEY 6121 supports cards that are SIM-sized. The reader can be carried in one's pocket, and has a keychain loop.
The mobile USB reader is compatible with all major computer-based security standards, such as ISO 7816, Microsoft WHQL, and HBCL. It also supports PC-2001.
USB CCID support means the user can create a connection between the OMNIKEY 6121 and the PC without the requirement for additional drivers to be installed. A hot-plug driver is available.
The device is lightweight and small, weighing approximately 10g with small dimensions (74mm x 21mm x 10mm), making it a good choice for on-the-go security needs. With transmission speeds up to 12 Mbps and 420 kbps via the smart card interface, the OMNIKEY 6121 works quickly. ISO 7816 Class A, B and C smart cards are supported.
