The OMNIKEY 3021 weighs a mere 1.69 ounces (48g), and measures just 2.91" x 2.52" x 0.51" (74 x 64 x 13 mm). This attractive unit comes in either transparent or silver color. The 3021 provides support for USB CCID, making integration into existing systems much easier. All major industry standards are supported including the Home Banking Computer Interface (HBCI), PC-2001, ISO 7816, Microsoft WHQL and others. The unit meets all GSA FIPS 201 requirements.
No additional drivers are needed to connect host and smart card readers. The 3021 helps simplify and standardize your operations through the use of application interfaces which include PC/SC, Open Card Framework (OCF) and CT-API. The OMNIKEY 3021 works with virtually all full-size (ID-1) contact smart cards and PC operating systems. You can use it with credit cards and e-ID cards, since it supports ISO 7816 classes A, B and C. 1.8V, 3V and 5V cards are supported.
Bus-powered, it connects to the PC via a USB interface, and supports 12 Mbps (USB 2.0 full speed) high-speed transmission. The OMNIKEY 3021 works with all major operating systems including Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Linux and MAC OS X.
