The Datacard SD160 ID Card Printer is a one-sided (simplex) printer capable of printing color, monochrome or rewriteable cards. It is positioned with the SD series of card printers as their economical badge printer featuring re-writeable printing. This card printer uses dye-sublimation/resign thermal transfer print technology and prints at 300 dpi (typical for most badge printers) with edge-to-edge printing.
The SD160 card printer is capable of producing 150 cards per hour (color print speed). It has a 100-card input hopper and 25-card output hopper and uses reloadable supply cartridges with a drop-in cleaning roller.
Standard features of the SD160 include USB connectivity; optional features include a 200-card input hopper and 100-card output hopper, Kensington security lock and magnetic stripe encoder. This printer is backed by a Datacard 24-month factory warranty.
