PVC Cards
Are the most used cards in the industry. Due to its wide array of uses and
types, the PVC card have proven value to
buyers.
Standard PVC card comes in
thicknesses of 10 mil, 20 mil and 30 mil, for simple applications such as staff identification,
gift cards, loyalty cards, student and visitor identification, membership cards,
access control and many more.
Composite PVC cards are a
unique blend of 60% PVC and 40% polyester which give the card more durability and
the ability to withstand high temperatures, ideal for lamination.
Magnetic
stripe cards add a level of sophistication to the standard PVC card by
using specialized software to encoded data on to the
magnetic stripe. Its most common uses
are gift cards, loyalty cards, and access control.
PVC Sizes
10 mil PVC cards are typically used for applications such as business
cards, membership cards, and temporary cards. Adhesive backed cards are typically
used for proximity cards. The information is first printed on the adhesive backed
card, then a paper or mylar backing is removed and pasted on the proximity card.
Resulting in an ID badge for access control.
20 mil cards provide the same variety of styles and value as the
10 and 30 mil cards. Although 20 mil cards have many of the same uses as the
30 mil cards such as staff identification, gift cards, loyalty cards, student and
visitor identification, membership cards, and access control; it's thickness provides
more durability than the thinner 10 mil.
Industry Standard
This is the industry standard thickness for PVC cards. Equivalent to the thickness
of a credit card, this card is used world wide for applications such as staff identification,
gift cards, loyalty cards, student and visitor identification, membership cards,
access control and many more.
30 mil cards come in a variety of styles, each to fit your specific application.
Standard 30 mil cards are made of 100% PVC plastic. Composite PVC cards are
made of 60% PVC plastic and 40% polyester. Both standard and composite 30 mil
cards have the option of having a mag stripe on the back for applications such
as gift cards and access control. Additional software may be needed to encode the
mag stripe.
NOTE: Please make sure your
ID card printer is capable of printing
on 10, 20, or 30 mil cards.
